N.Fagan Meats has been in operation in CBS since 1988 by Nelson Fagan Sr. Previous to that Nelson Sr’s father, Jordan Fagan, operated as Lawlors Meats on Duckworth Street from 1964 to 1988, using our the facilities where we still butcher our animals.
Since 2017, Nelson Fagan Jr. Has taken on a larger role in the business with his father and has now incorporated himself under Beothuk Land & Cattle Company with his spouse Kayla Minnett. We are a mixed farm operation. Our main source of income is from our Beef Cattle herd. We take great pride in our cattle from start to finish. We do also have Pork, Chickens and Sheep from time to time. We grow root vegetables like carrots, potatoes, turnip and cabbage. We have a variety of products and sell them in multiple stores across the island as well as on farm pickup. We are continuously growing and are excited for what the future may bring. We involve our young children as much as we can to give them the life experience that only a farm can give you. We volunteer with Agriculture in the Classroom NL and we are both involved and sit on different boards within the Agriculture Industry.
