Wild Island Tea produces loose leaf tea and herbal tisane blends using local botanicals that are sustainably foraged from the pristine forests and coastlines of beautiful Newfoundland and Labrador.

Wild Island Tea was founded in 2017 in Conception Harbour, Newfoundland and Labrador, by Dale Clarke after he located there from Nova Scotia. As the founder, he wanted to create a brand of natural, hand foraged teas made right here. He also wanted to call attention the rich and diverse flora of our province with blends such as Wild River Mint and Green Tea and Newfoundland Spruce and Chai. All their blends are free of additives, preservatives, and artificial and natural flavourings.

We’re also focused on being as environmentally responsible as possible. We use compostable and recyclable packaging wherever possible. Our engraved canisters are recyclable or can easily be re-purposed and you can return you glass from sample packs and single serve tubes to us to be reused. We also offer a small selection of reusable and/or compostable accessories to encourage eco-friendly choices.

Our company is also committed to supporting other local makers. Many of our blends use ingredients purchased from other local foragers and makers such as berries from local berry farms and pickers and cocoa powder from a local artisanal chocolate maker. We’ve also collaborated on custom tea blends and other products for local businesses and our teas are served through a number of venues and coffee shops around the island.
